Satoshi was born in Japan in 1967. In 1992, he began work in a video production company working as a designer. In 1996, he began to take on work as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer.

Satoshi mainly works on illustrations for CD covers, magazines and advertising posters. His inspiration comes from 60’s and 70’s movies, especially the 007 series and a variety of 70’s blaxploitation movies. As for his artwork, he does a lot of work related to SOUL, JAZZ and R&B music.

“To keep drawing human body rhythm is my illustration style. It’s just strong, sexy and groovin’ style”.

The Museum of UnCut Funk is thrilled to have established a relationship with Satoshi and we look forward to showcasing more of his work.
