It’s going to be busy summer. Finally some good reasons to go to the theater. Red Hook Summer is on the short list of films that I will be checking out.

The Man With The Iron Fists is on a short list of films that I am really excited about seeing. Here is the trailer for the upcoming kung fu flick written by, directed by and starring RZA. It is produced by Quentin Tarantino. It will be in theaters on November 2nd.

Magic Johnson’s new Aspire network went live today.

The purpose of Aesthetic Grooves is to give up and coming artists a platform to exhibit their work. In pursuing this endeavour, I have met several artists whose work I like. Lana Andrade’s comic strips and watercolors fall into this category. They are funny and to the point and her water color art is hip, kool and sexy. I hope you do too! Check out her blog page. Today, Collectors Quest visited The Museum of UnCut Funk to do a video shoot for their website. It was an awesome experience. Our collection will be showcased on one of the premiere collector community websites in the country.

I met Jerome Walford at the Bronx Heroes Comic Con and ran into him again at the East Coast Black Age of Comics Convention (ECBACC), where we discussed his Nowhere Man character. I then spent some time on his website and I knew that I wanted to share his work with our visitors. I think you will really enjoy getting to know Jerome and Nowhere Man.

In a recent interview with Miles Davis’ son, Erin Davis, and nephew Vince Wilburn Jr., it was revealed that Antoine Fuqua is set to direct the Miles Davis biopic.  I was alerted to this fact via indiewire.com, through an interview they posted from the Wall Street Journal’s Lee Hawkins about the new Miles Davis postage stamp!

Sparkle, the remake of the 1976 film starring Jordin Sparks and Whitney Houston, will be novelized by Simon & Schuster and adapted for the Broadway stage with executive producer Howard Rosenman, the Hollywood Reporter confirms.

Back in the day, Arsenio’s show was late night must see TV…I was lucky enough to go to a taping of the show in LA. I still have my t-shirt!!!

I’m delighted to exhibit the work of Richard Tyler and his character Jaycen WISE. There is a sense of mystery that surrounds this character that leaves me hungry for more…well done!
