In the midst of societal ills and personal challenges I look to family and music for solace. Holy Moly! There are a few things that I am remiss about discovering at this juncture and some new releases and tunes forthcoming that I’m very excited to hear. Music serves as therapy for me, and is and will always be, the universal language that conjoins the hearts and minds of humanity.
Indelibly on my brain are thoughts of loved ones and experiences that have shaped who I am. Most memories I cherish – there’s a few I’m not so fond of, and a couple I’d like to forget. As every individual is made up of how they have lived and what one eats — what the hell is in the water of the ignorant children taking part in this detrimental “game” called “Knock Out”?
When I first saw a poster for Stephen King’s new book “Joyland” in the subways of New York, I said, ‘Is that a new movie?,’ because of how bold the colors were and the way it’s advertised. One quickly realizes it’s a poster for his new book at second glance, but it immediately made me wonder — will it be a movie? A reader of his works and one who’s enjoyed most of the films adapted from his books, I had to investigate.
