Rationale for taking the exhibition:

• Comic strips were introduced during the same decade as the Brown V. Board Of Education supreme court ruling and subsequent desegregation of  Little Rock Central High School, provides cultural context
• Positive character from the Civil Rights era when there were very few
• Novelty – never been exhibited before

Visitors:

• Attracted a Multicultural audience – 65% minority population / 35 % general market population
• End of year school trips
• Vacationers
• Black Family Reunion attendees
• Youth Groups
• Church groups
• Summer School
