Vintage Black Heroes: The Chisholm Kid – Funday Sunday At The Gilcrease Museum

On this free community day, celebrate Black History Month with the exhibition The Chisholm Kid: Lone Fighter for Justice for All. Create your own Chisholm Kid-inspired artworks, meet contemporary comic artists, watch performances and learn to blaze your own trail. Special guests and events will include:

• Tulsa Artist Fellowship cartoon artists Melanie Gillman, Sophie Goldstein, Carl Antonowicz and Olivia Stephens
• Live performance of comics (with sound effects, voice actors and all)
• Create-your-own tiny comic books
• Cowboys On the Fence Round Up Club discussing area cowboys and cowgirls past and present and demonstrating roping technique

These special activities will take place from noon to 4 p.m. FREE admission all day.
