A lover of music, history and culture, film biographies or the biopic, have long been a favorite of mine. While there are a plethora of stories to be told about people of latter day, I’ve always been fascinated about the journey of people that made their mark on the world before I was born, or made an impression on me early on.
Went to see “The Butler” last night, Loved It! Part of me was just gonna “write something” on FB, but I had to write more, and GIVE IT UP to the filmmaking genius of Lee Daniels. Starring Forest Whitaker, Oprah Winfrey, David Oyelowo and an impeccable ensemble cast, Lee has another future classic on his hands.
Tina Turner had an official wedding last Sunday to celebrate her civil ceremony to her long-time beau music producer Erwin Bach. The couple have been together for 27 years, and had the celebration at their home on the banks of Lake Zurich in Switzerland. Among the guests were Oprah Winfrey and Bryan Adams.
I found myself with a touch of insomnia last night, so I turned on the tube and began surfing until I felt sleepy. I land on “Tru-TV” and see flashing lights from police cars. “What’s this? Did TruTV pick up ‘Cops’”? I soon realize that’s not the case. It’s a show called “Bait Car.”
