Formed in 2010, The Full Strength Funk Band (TFSFB) is managed by the groups frontman Robert “Swats” Wishner. “Swats” says he hesitated to submit the band into the “Funk” category at first, but then “got bold,” and it paid off. Passionate yet humble in their presentation, the band is tight! TFSFB will render their versions of songs by James Brown, The Isley Brothers, War, and Charles Wright & the Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band’s “Express Yourself” during the course of a set. If you’re ever in San Diego, there’s a chance they may be taking the stage, as the group is booked through April.
