Welcome to our Funky Turns 50: Black Character Revolution 3D Exhibition!

Since we are unable to tour this exhibition to physical museums due to COVID-19, we decided to bring our exhibition into the 3D realm to give our members an exclusive experience that is  as good as viewing it live.

This is the same exhibition that was featured on the front page of the Arts section in the New York Times, has toured successfully to museums around the country and been seen by 118,720 people to date.

You can learn more about the traveling exhibition by clicking here.

For the 3D exhibition we have added more fun graphics and a few cool interactive surprises along the way.

3D EXHIBITION INSTRUCTIONS

There are two ways that you can view our 3D exhibitions. You can take a virtual tour or a manual tour.

If you want to tour the exhibition virtually then click on START GUIDED TOUR below. The exhibition will automatically guide you to every text panel and piece of artwork. You will have a few seconds to view each item. If you would like more time,  you can click on the Pause Tour button in the upper right of your screen. When you want to resume the tour, click on the white circle with three lines on it in the upper right of your screen and click start tour.

If you want to tour the exhibition manually then click on ENTER EXHIBITION below. You will see directional arrows on the bottom right of your screen. You can use those arrows to navigate in any direction in the exhibition. You can also also move around the exhibition with your mouse or track pad.

Try to avoid leaving the exhibition area because sometimes it is difficult to navigate your way back in.

Please be patient while the exhibition loads (you will see the circles moving in a square).

Either way you decide to view the exhibition, we recommend the first thing you do once you enter is click on the white circle with three lines on it in the upper right of your screen and select the first option, ENTER FULL SCREEN. This is the best way to view the exhibition.
