Grammy Award winning recording artist Lauryn Hill, will be embarking on a series of intimate performances throughout the FUNKIN’ US according to her publicist Ashley Bryan of PRESS HERE. Hill spent much of 2010 appearing at select international festivals, and a few domestic events.

One being the Annual Rock The Bells concert, where she reportedly had an impeccable performance (Check my blog entry on 9/3/10). Hill will appear with a live band at some of the country’s most well-respected music venues, and she has seven nights scheduled in the New York area. Five dates in Manhattan, one in Brooklyn and her closing performance in Montclair, NJ.

Hill says she “may never play venues of this size again”, some of which she “hasn’t played since the Fugee days.” She’s excited “to see her loyal supporters up close and personal again.” Ms. Hill will play reworked classics from her iconic and groundbreaking solo album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, but promises to deliver them with the same rigor, soulfulness and power of the original music. After years of an artist performing their hits night after night while on tour, on television and around the world, they have to make the presentation of their selections more diverse for them as well as the audience.

Tickets for these performances are on sale now and extremely limited.
