There’s a lot of new music out there!  Now, all new music isn’t necessarily good or FUNKY, but here’s some that is… acknowledging “Ladies First”, out of the world of hip-hop, is Amethyst Amelia Kelly, better known by her stage name Iggy Azalea.  An Australian recording artist and model from Mullumbimby, New South Wales, she’s got “It.”

Iggy comes under the Grand Hustle brand by the way, T.I. is featured in two of her videos.  A producer that’s been around for quite some time, you may not have even heard of Thundercat yet.  Not to be confused with the cartoon of the same name, born into a family of musicians, Stephen Bruner began playing the bass at an early age.  One of the contributors on Erykah Badu’s “New Amerykah,” he’s released two albums of his own.  “The Golden Age of Apocalypse,” in 2011 and “Apocalypse” dropped last year.  His track “Oh Sheit It’s X”, that’s featured in the video game “Grand Theft Auto V” from ‘Apocalypse’, is getting a lot of love right now.  Who said Pimpin’ was easy?  New music from Ciel Rouge pays homage to the 70s.  His self directed music video for “Pretty Women” was shot entirely in his hometown of Algiers, Louisiana, and is heavily inspired by the films “Hustle & Flow” and “The Mack.”  The track features chopped and screwed versions of songs by Bootsy Collins, Al Green and Willie Hutch – you tell me which ones they are.  Ciel is currently promoting his current mixtape “Love, Rouge,” and is scheduled to release his full length album, “Lovely, She’s a Dancer,” sometime this summer.  Rouge is keepin’ it mad gangsta for this track…
