The Room 222 comic book series, published by Dell, ran for 4 issues from January 1970 through January 1971. Issue 4 was a reprint of issue 1. Room 222 was one of my favorite TV series back in the day, which ran from 1969 through 1974. I loved tuning in every week to see what was happening at Walt Whitman High. I loved the characters, the handsome Mr. Dixon played by Lloyd Haynes, and his beautiful girlfriend Miss McIntyre played by Denise Nicholas. There were also the cool students – Pam, played by Ta-Tanisha and Larry played by Eric Laneuville.
Below are six pages from the second story, “Tarnished Star”, where an athlete almost blows his opportunity to get into college by letting his grades go down, but the teacher helps turn things around at the last minute.
