Spent the day at The East Coast Black Age of Comics Convention in Philadelphia, making connections and judging a Superhero custom contest. Now it was time to eat.
We decided we would find a spot that had more to offer than a Philly cheesesteak, which is what we usually get whenever we are in town. Don’t get me wrong, I love cheesesteaks. But I’m also a big fan of oysters, whether they’re raw, steamed, fried, etc…I love them. So we went to the Oyster House, located at 1516 Sansom Street, Philadelphia PA 19102 (215-567-7683).
To drink I had a Garden State Cup made with apple brandy, cognac, pomegranate tea, hibiscus syrup and lime. It was delicious!
To eat I ordered the Oh Burger, made from grass fed beef, topped with blue cheese, a fried oyster and grilled onions, served with hand cut fries. This meal combined two of my favorite things – one which I already told you is oysters, the other is a great burger. Did I mention that I love a great burger? This one was pretty tasty.
My traveling companion ordered a New England style Lobster Roll with hand cut fries.
