Artist Statement:
My name is Marcus Kwame Anderson. I was born in Kingston, Jamaica and moved to Albany, NY at an early age. I’ve been creating art for as long as I can remember. I live in upstate New York with my lovely and talented wife and our beautiful daughter. Much of my art is a representation of the beauty and diversity of the African Diaspora. I believe that the arts can be a powerful vehicle for change and I often incorporate social commentary into my work. I have a lot to say and art is how I’m most comfortable communicating.
