His name is Marcus Kwame Anderson. He creates paintings, drawings, comics, music, poems and whatever else moves him. The Museum Of UnCut Funk is inspired by the passion Marcus invests in his work.
My name is Marcus Kwame Anderson. I was born in Kingston, Jamaica and moved to Albany, NY at an early age. I’ve been creating art for as long as I can remember. I live in upstate New York with my lovely and talented wife and our beautiful daughter. Much of my art is a representation of the beauty and diversity of the African Diaspora. I believe that the arts can be a powerful vehicle for change and I often incorporate social commentary into my work. I have a lot to say and art is how I’m most comfortable communicating.
