Vietnam, is a comic that was written by Julian Bond and published in 1967, after he was expelled from the Georgia House of Representatives for opposing the war in Vietnam. In 1967, Julian Bond was elected to the Georgia House of Representatives, but the legislature voted not seat him because he was an outspoken critic of America’s involvement in Vietnam. Bond teamed up with artist T.G. Lewis to produce Vietnam, which showed how military action in Southeast Asia was not only immoral but how black men were dying as a result.
